6-8 Week Touch Up

· The touch up requires the same pre and post care as your first session so as you prepare to come in for your 6-8 week touch up, be mindful of your topical products, avoiding injectables before your appointment, sun exposure as well as any active break outs in the lip area

Long Term

· To protect the lips from premature fading, the following is recommended:

        · SPF should be worn on your lips when out in the sun at all times

        · A topical zinc should be applied to the lips when undergoing any laser treatments of the face

        · Avoid chemical exfoliation to the lips

· There is no guaranteed results for how long your lips will last before needing a touch up, but touch ups are required to maintain desired results, typically touch ups are done around 3-5 years

What to Expect

Day 1

· When you arrive, we will spend the first portion of the appointment designing your lip shape

· Before the treatment begins you will be numbed for about 25 minutes

· During the treatment you may feel slight discomfort, however you will be numbed again after the first pass

· Towards the end of the treatment you may start feeling a bit more sensitive and tender

· Immediately after you may have some redness and swelling and your lips will appear brighter or darker in color with harsher edges than we are aiming for, the color may also be more warm in tone and will cool down once healed

· Everyone's healing varies however the general healing time is 7-10 days

· A few days in you will notice your lips are cracked and flakey - do not pick - keep them hydrated

Days 1-14

· Around this time you will most likely feel like your lips lost color

Days 15-30

· Around this time you will see the color reappearing about 30% softer than when you initially had them done

· Everyone's healing varies depending on their skin type however the general healing time is 4 weeks - our skin cells are on a 28 day regenerating cycle (which slows as we age) so true results will not be visible until 4 weeks at a minimum

6-8 Week Touch Up

· Your Touch Up is the final step to completing your lips. I will take the time to ensure that every aspect is just right, from shape to color. I want you to feel confident and beautiful with your new look, and our touch up service ensures that you leave feeling satisfied. As a reminder, the touch up requires the same pre and post care as your first session.
